ในนามของ Daughters of the Deep และATMECเรามีความยินดีอย่างยิ่งที่จะประกาศว่าเราจะมอบทุนสำหรับการฝึกอบรมเพื่อการศึกษาวิจัยและอนุรักษ์เป็นระยะเวลา9เดือนพวกเรากำลังมองหาผู้หญิงที่หลงใหลในงานอนุรักษ์และวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลซึ่งถือสัญชาติไทยมาร่วมงานกับพวกเราATMEC ตลอด 1ฤดูกาล ตำแหน่งนี้เกิดขึ้นเพื่อส่งเสริมการมีบทบาทของผู้หญิงในการทำงานสาย STEM และด้านการอนุรักษ์ทางทะเล และเสริมศักยภาพวงการวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลของไทยให้โดดเด่นยิ่งขึ้น ผู้สมัครจะต้องมีใบอนุญาตดำน้ำและผ่านหลักสูตร Advanced Open Water หรือขั้นที่สูงกว่า มีความพร้อมในการทำงานที่หลากหลายทั้งกิจกรรมในทะเลและบนฝั่ง รวมถึงงานวิจัยต่าง ๆจำนวน 6 วันต่อสัปดาห์ ผู้สมัครต้องมีทักษะภาษาอังกฤษในระดับสูงเนื่องจากหลักสูตรและงานวิจัยจะเป็นภาษาอังกฤษทั้งหมด
ตำแหน่งนี้ทำงานที่เกาะมันในจังหวัดระยอง โดยที่ ATMEC เป็นผู้ดูแลการดำเนินการร่วมกับกรมทรัพยากรทางทะเลและชายฝั่ง
ระยะเวลาการทำงานผู้ได้รับเลือกจะต้องประจำอยู่ที่เกาะมันในร่วมกับทีมเจ้าหน้าที่ของATMEC ในช่วงเดือนกันยายน 2565 ถึงเดือนพฤษภาคม 2566 ในช่วงเดือนกันยายน มกราคม และพฤษภาคม จะมีการแบ่งการทำงานทั้งบนเกาะมันในและกรุงเทพ ผู้สมัครที่ได้รับคัดเลือกมีโอกาสที่จะได้ร่วมงานต่อกับทาง ATMEC และได้รับเงินเดือนในฐานะ staff
ในภาคเรียนแรก (เดือนกันยายน- เดือนธันวาคม)ผู้ได้รับเลือกจะรับตำแหน่งฝึกงานนักวิจัย (คลิกเพื่อดูรายละเอียดเพิ่มเติม) โดยจะได้รับการฝึกสอนควบคู่ไปด้วยตลอดภาคเรียนตั้งแต่เดือนมกราคมเป็นต้นไป ผู้ได้รับเลือกจะได้เป็นผู้ช่วยสอนรวมถึงเป็นผู้นำในการทำกิจกรรมต่างๆของโครงการ
ผู้ได้รับเลือกจะต้องมีสุขภาพแข็งแรงเพื่อเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมต่างๆบนเกาะและในน้ำ (โดยเฉพาะการยกแท่งคอนกรีตหนักๆ) พวกเราจะดำน้ำกันสัปดาห์ละ 5-10 ไดฟ์ในจุดดำน้ำที่แตกต่างกันไปเพื่อวัตถุประสงค์ที่แตกต่างกัน เช่น การเก็บข้อมูลวิจัยการฟื้นฟูปะการัง การเก็บกู้อวนในทะเลเป็นต้น ในแต่ละวันจะมีการตั้งเป้าหมายประจำวัน และทำงานกัน 6 วันต่อสัปดาห์ โดยมี 2-3 วันต่อสัปดาห์ที่ทำงานบนฝั่งเป็นหลักนอกจากนี้ จะมีการสอนเกี่ยวกับเครื่องมือ ทักษะและเทคนิคด้านวิทยาศาสตร์ทางทะเลทั้งในทะเลและบนฝั่งทุกสัปดาห์ให้แก่นักเรียนอายุ 14 ขึ้นไป ผู้ได้รับเลือกจะต้องเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมทั้งหมดยกเว้นตกลงไว้เป็นอื่นในสัญญา พวกเราส่งเสริมให้ผู้ได้รับเลือกได้ทำโครงการวิจัยอิสระของตัวเองในช่วงภาคเรียนแรกโดยจะมีทีมงานคอยเป็นที่ปรึกษาให้นอกเหนือจากนั้น ผู้ได้รับเลือกจะต้องช่วยดูแลสถานที่และเตรียมอุปกรณ์การทำงานเช่น ทำความสะอาดอุปกรณ์เครื่องมือต่างๆ เติมถังอากาศ ดูแลรักษาเครื่องมือการวิจัยและห้องปฏิบัติการ เป็นต้น
· ที่พัก (ห้องรวม), อุปกรณ์ดำน้ำ, เครื่องมือทำวิจัย, เรือสำหรับใช้ในการทำงาน, โครงการฝึกสอน, และประกาศนียบัตรทั้งหมดจะไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายใดๆตลอดระยะเวลาที่อยู่ในตำแหน่ง
· การเดินทางไป-กลับเกาะมันในระหว่างการดำเนินโครงการATMEC จะไม่มีค่าใช้จ่าย ทั้งนี้ไม่รวมค่าเดินทางส่วนตัว
· ผู้ได้รับเลือกจะได้รับเบี้ยเลี้ยงรายเดือนเป็นจำนวนเงิน6000 บาท เพื่อเป็นค่าใช้จ่ายในชีวิตประจำวันบนเกาะมันใน
· ค่าใช้จ่ายสำหรับการใช้ชีวิตในกรุงเทพฯ (ระหว่างช่วงทำงานพาร์ทไทม์ในเดือนกันยายน มกราคม และพฤษภาคม)
· กิจกรรมดำน้ำเพื่อพักผ่อนหย่อนใจ หรือ การเดินทางในการไป-กลับเกาะมันในที่นอกเหนือจากการทำงาน
· คอมพิวเตอร์สำหรับการเก็บข้อมูลและทำวิจัย

On behalf of Daughters of the Deep and ATMEC, we are happy to announce a funded research and conservation internship for a 9 month period. We are looking for a femaleThai citizen with a passion for marine science and conservation to join us for one season at ATMEC. We are offering this position with the aim of encouraging greater representation of women in STEM fields and marine conservation, and to support growing the pool of high-quality marine scientists and conservationists in Thailand. Candidates must be SCUBA divers with a certification equivalent to Advanced Open Water, however Rescue Diver and above is preferable. Candidates must be willing to work 6 days a week on various underwater and land-based activities, and participate in multiple research projects. Candidates must also be proficient in English as all courses and research will be conducted in English.
The position is mostly based on the island of Koh Mun Nai, Rayong, where ATMEC conducts the majority of its fieldwork in partnership with the DMCR.
The position requires candidates to be based at Koh Mun Nai with the team between September 2022 - May 2023. The months of September, January and May will be split between working on the island and from Bangkok. Successful applicants may be offered the oppurtunity of joining the current ATMEC staff as a salaried member at the end of the season.
The first semester (September - December) candidates will effectively take the position of Research Interns (click here to find out more) with additional training conducted throughout. From January onwards, candidates will be considered asassistant staff and will help with training and research as needed.
Candidates must be physically fit so as to participate in rigorous activities on the island and in the water. Each week will contain between 5-10 dives at varying sites for various purposes including data collection, coral restoration, net removal and other hands-on activities. Specific goals will be aimed for each day, with work being carried out 6 days a week, including 2-3 days a week of land-based work. Additionally, on-land and in-water teaching of marine biology relevant material, skills and techniques will be carried out weekly, to students ages 14+. Successful trainee candidates will be required to participate in all required activities unless prior agreements, and will be encouraged to pursue their own independent research project, under supervision. Candidates will also be required to assist in maintenance of facilities and preparation of work, including cleaning of equipment, filling of SCUBA tanks, maintaining research materials and laboratory conditions etc.
· Accommodation (shared), SCUBA equipment, research equipment, boat use, training and certification costs will be covered throughout the duration of the position.
· Transport costs to and from the island during ATMEC required journeys will be covered. Personal transport costs will not.
· Candidates will also receive a monthly stipend of 6000thb to help cover food and living costs at Koh Mun Nai.
· Living costs in Bangkok (during part time weeks in September, January and May)
· Fun Dives or any non-essential transport to and from Koh Mun Nai
· Laptop/Computer facilities for data entry andresearch
